I ran across an articel in the Dec 08 Full Throttle about Stephanie Bertsos and her riding abilities. I am a MSF rider coach for the DOD here at Dobbin. I coach at least 2 courses a month both ERC and BRC. The Gov has a new Sports Bike course and I should begin coaching that next season (Note the Gixxer). I am also the safety director for a local riders group. Within the group and others who join us are many riders with 40-50 years of riding time. I always here I have been riding for 40 years and don't need no safety course. After showing you article to a few of them have actually asked if I could give them some pointers. One had a high side a year ago and ask me "What should I have done while having the accident?" I explained we try to show how not to have the accident not what to do duringit. Anyway my point is thanks for helping me to wait up a few OLD freinds.

I chanced across Jerry's RLP 4 video about 3 months after I purchased my 2006 GL1800 wing in Jan of 2007. After working on the techniques a little bit here and there as time permitted, I found myself with a very solid confidence and feeling that there wasn't much I couldn't do with the wing now.Everything is great and I took 2nd place in my class at GWRRA Wing Ding 29 Top Gun International competition in July of 2007. (Two months after purchasing RLP 4)I had the pleasure of seeing Jerry at a couple of events and actually got ride play follow the leader at the end of the Honda Homecoming with he & his crew plus a former student of his who is a friend of mine. That was a blast!Anytime I hear Jerry is doing his thing, I do my best to catch up with he and his crew. The shows are always entertaining and I never walk away from that man without at least one thing new to think about or try.Keep rocking it Jerry & I hope to see you in Daytona and play follow the leader again soon!Doug
Love your website. Hope to take your course in the near future. I will obtain the video first. Your articles are great and I hope to see more soon.God Bless,Mike
I have had the pleasure of riding with Tim and Marianne many times through our mutual ***ociation w/ H.O.G. I learned to ride in June 2006, and since then was able to take the BRC, ERC, and the Ride Like A Pro Course. I have to say that practicing the rider skills learned in the course and from the DVD's has honed my skills considerably. I have been lucky enough to have helped them teach our local H.O.G group in our monthly riderskills sessions. I love the feel of being able to turn a tight oval or weave and hearing the scrape of the floorboards as I lean the bike w/ control and agility. I highly recommend that all riders learn and PRACTICE the concepts taught by the Ride Like A Pro team. It will definitely help you keep your wheels down. And if you happen to drop your bike while practicing, they will show you the proper way to pick it uP, too!!
I took the Basic Rider Course recently with Ride Like a Pro and it was the best experience in a learning environment. The course was very informative yet fun to do at the same time. Both Tim and Marriann manage to keep the course exciting and relaxed but still teaching the material. I would recommend taking this course with Tim and Marriann to anyone that asks me about it.Joshua
Wonderful class and wonderful teachers. At first I was a bit intimidated but by the end of the first riding portion I felt like a seasoned pro. I was able to pick up my motorcycle license the very next day after completing the course. I'd recommend RLAP to anyone interested in riding a motorcycle.
I took the BRC class June 21-22. The experience was fantastic and I got hooked. I purchased my bike (Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT) and then had a one-on-one lesson from Rob Cooley, one of the coaches from the BRC class I took, to help me get used to the feel of my new bike. Rob was great and I really learned a lot from him in just that one lesson. I've already signed up for the ERC class!! I've heard so many stories from others who had started to ride, but had a bad experience and quit. All of them actually set themselves up for failure - they didn't take any formal "lesson" from someone who really understood what they needed to know and how to communicate that to them. I didn't want to go that route - I wanted to start off in the right direction and Ride Like a Pro helps you do just that. They are a tremendous resource for learning how to ride and enjoy your bike safely. They have a genuine interest in making sure your learning experience is enjoyable, safe and productive.
I took the class in Dade City on June 28th and 29th. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. What I didn't expect was that I would totally fall in love with riding, just from a two day experience in a parking lot. My total previous riding experience was from a scooter. By the end of the two day class, I was able to easily pass the motorcycle skills exam. The instructors were great. They gave us lots of encouragement and good advice. I recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn how to ride, or just to refine your skills. The picture is from my brand new bike - a Hyosung GV250. If you haven't heard of Hyosung, they are a Korean manufacturer and have been building bikes for Suzuki since 1978.
